Just wanted to say what a lovely site you have put together. It’s about time someone put together a few guided maps as I think this puts newcomers off coming to the woods. I know I was always telling people how to get back to the car park when I was in there lol. This is such a beautiful area, and I’m glad it’s being properly appreciated.

Your site is very good, however the pale grey is a little hard to read for those with poor eyesight ;-). I went for a walk with my dog today and felt I was getting lost. Wish I’d had your map to show me which way to go! It would be good for the council to put more way markers in and maybe route numbers. I enter near HMP and exit near Guidewoods so never see a map. It’s too dark to get directions from the sun but the atmosphere is beautiful.

Love your site. The photos are wonderful. I spend many hours and days walking and cycling through the woods and have masses of photos. It is amazing all year round. Thank you for taking the trouble to put this together.

Jenny i’m so glad you like it! This website is still very much in it’s infancy, and I welcome input from others who use the woods! My idea is to create something fun, useful to our community, and bring exposure to groups like dog walkers, ramblers, cyclists and equestrians.
It’s fun being ‘The Editor’ and gives me a reason to constantly strive to improve my amateur photography!

  7. These are definitely good Joyce! My almost 7 year old shocked me at Thanksgiving when she turned her nose up at pretty much all. It absolutely was becuase rather then remaining cooked in your own home, we went to a buffet in a breathtaking lodge and the food stuff was gourmet ized a little bit little bit. Also it had been 2 and he or she was hungry, which can be when she’s the very least capable to manage herself. So there was some tantruming going on. I realized if I could just get some food items into her, then she be far more willing to check out important things, would discover some she appreciated, and afterwards would consume much more. Thank goodness there was fried rooster within the buffet (one thing common she enjoys). She experienced a chicken leg, and after that was additional equipped to get courageous to try points, such as mashed potatoes (fantastic!) and glazed carrots (yuck!), stuffing with cranberries in it (decent!) and so on. I thoroughly ought to have fed the children a snack beforehand, and outlined the food items can be slightly fancier compared to the commonplace turkey and mashed potatoes I make at home.
